About Community School of Natural Therapeutics

Mission Statement: The mission of the Community School of Natural Therapeutics is to provide classes to people from all walks of life, in all aspects of the theory and practice of natural therapeutics. Our goal is to re-empower and inspire individuals in the health and wellness of themselves, their families, and their communities. Our hope is that this positively influences the health and wellbeing of our planet.

What We Do

We offer classes in herbalism, hydrotherapy, natural therapeutics (history, philosophy and practice) and techniques for  healthier living, including composting and gardening.

Our flagship classes are in Kneipp Therapy, the foundation for most Western holistic therapies. In 2026 we will be offering in collaboration with the Kneipp Physiotherapy Schule of Bad Worishofen Germany, a Level 1 Kneipp Training Course.

The dates and details for the 2026 Level Course will be confirmed soon. The course will likely be in the Port Townsend WA area and will feature Uwe Steinacher, international instructor for the Kneipp Physiotherapy School of Bad Worishofen, Germany. There may be some additional discussions in the area, likely at Bastyr University in Kenmore WA.

We may decide, depending on interest to do a Level 2 course in Bad Worishofen Germany at the end of September 2026. Schedule, price and registration TBD.

These courses are open to all practitioners, and may apply to continuing education credits, depending on your professional requirements in your state, province or country. Please see individual class pages for more information.

We also offer support to the vitalistic naturopathic community. For a nominal fee we provide group mentoring to young NDs on a monthly basis. We also offer classes on vitalistic naturopathic philosophy and case management.

We are hoping to launch a podcast discussing natural therapeutics and lifestyle with various elders and experts in the field. Look for a link towards the start of 2026.

Our instructors are all accomplished in their fields and hold advanced degrees. Most have taught university level classes, and delight in teaching the public as well!
